The BISHOUJO series is now reaching its 15th anniversary! To celebrate, Kotobukiya is adding one of the greatest icons of Japanese horror to the HORROR BISHOUJO line — Sadako, styled by Shunya Yamashita.

To mimic the classic Japanese ghost look, she can be shown with long black hair covering her face. An alternative front section instead shows a lone eye peeking out from under her hair, giving a different sense of horror. Her iconic white dress uses see-through parts to simulate how the fabric becomes transparent when wet from the well. Her fingernails and toenails are damaged from scratching in the well and are painted a red tone that resembles teething.

The design depicts Sadako floating with her psychic powers atop a pile of video tapes. The frayed tape that extends from the cassettes can be arranged freely around the statue. For added decoration, two rolls of spare tape are included, wrapped in a video tape-like box, so collectors can choose how much tape they want to use.
