Description
The ABYSS CRAWLER is a third generation HEXA GEAR developed by the Liberty Alliance to explore and secure blocked underground areas such as culverts. Unlike other third generation units, it has two Zoatex modes and continuously uses Zoatex during operations.
In the early stages of the war, cities were raided by unmanned units called HIDESTORMs, revealing vast, abandoned underground tunnels and facilities. The Liberty Alliance needed to quickly retake these tunnels, but much of the geological information had been lost, and the areas were now controlled by enemy forces. To meet the threat, they repurposed the wreckage of a destroyed Hidestorm and built the ABYSS CRAWLER, with a focus on enduring the harsh conditions that awaited in the darkness.
Since the VIC blades' functionality could not be fully replicated, the Invasion Counter Shield (ICS) was introduced instead, mounted on the left arm. Only a few units were produced due to spare parts shortages, and were sent into the highly contaminated underground environments — areas classified as Level 6 – Abyss — where even weak light sources could barely sustain life. Abyss Crawlers wade through sludge and pollution, taking on Hidestorms, droids, and other threats in narrow passages.

Model specifications:
– The model and armor parts are in black, similar to LORD IMPULSE and BULKARMß ”LUMBERJACK”, which makes it look good even without painting.
– The system can switch between ”Formation 1” (combat-focused) and ”Formation 2” (mobility-focused).
– The ICS effect parts with Biting Scissors on the left arm are removable and made of clear orange plastic for a realistic effect.
– The bit scissors can be opened and closed for varied fighting positions.
– The secondary ”Head Anchor” can be displayed in multiple configurations.
– The support brackets on the sliding units in the legs can be opened and closed.
– A separately sold Governor unit can be placed in the cockpit.
