EX ARMOR TYPE: MONOCEROS — an armor type inspired by the one-horned mythical creature monoceros (unicorn), which also adorns the Liberty Alliance emblem.

Unlike more universal armor types that focus on survival systems, MONOCEROS was developed for offensive tasks. It was designed with the user in mind to contribute much of their abilities, as it was created for the Hakua Empire's super soldiers in their project to develop a more powerful human shell.

MONOCEROS provides strong physical reinforcements to withstand threats from opponents such as the ZOANTHROPUS-LION and the PARA-PAWN EXPANDER. However, this strength comes at the cost of the soldier's humanity: while they become the strongest warriors among humans, they also lose parts of their human nature. One documented case describes a soldier equipped with MONOCEROS briefly overpowering an EXPANDER in an astonishing display of strength—an act that earned the soldier the title Byakurinkaku.
