Behind the hero identity lies Princess Diana, a demigoddess and Amazon woman from Themyscira, Paradise Island, and daughter of Zeus and Hippolyta, the Amazon Queen.

Over the years, her background has evolved in many ways. Diana has been a nurse, a military intelligence officer, an agent for the US government, and an ambassador, all while remaining a powerful Amazon warrior. While her story and appearance have changed, her core has always remained the same – traveling to the human world to defend peace, justice, and humanity.
