Description
This year marks the 40th anniversary of Frank Miller's iconic comic book series Batman: The Dark Knight™ Returns. In this classic tale, an aging, 55-year-old Bruce Wayne steps forward after a decade in retirement to reclaim the mantle of the Dark Knight in a decaying, crime-ridden Gotham. No longer the agile vigilante of his youth, he is a ruthless Batman who fights with raw ferocity against street gangs, the Joker, and even a government-controlled Superman—the embodiment of an uncompromising vision of justice in a world gone mad.
To celebrate this milestone, Sideshow and Hot Toys are excited to introduce the 1/6th scale Batman™ (Battle Damaged Version) collectible figure. The 1/6th scale collectible figure includes a newly developed Bruce Wayne head sculpt with separate movable eyeballs and painted blood effects that convey the rigors of battle. An additional blue masked Batman head comes with three interchangeable lower face pieces, allowing collectors to recreate moments straight from the pages of the iconic series.
The figure features a specialized muscular body built to convey the strength and physique of this older, battle-hardened dark knight. Six interchangeable hands with gauntlets and painted blood effects support a wide range of dynamic battle poses, including newly developed battle-damaged clenched fists, open gesturing hands, and weapon-holding hands.
The grey, battle-worn Batsuit is finely tailored in stretch fabric, complete with realistic tears and painted blood effects. A wire-encrusted, weathered blue cape flows behind him, while the tactical belt, forearm guards and boots all feature painted blood effects. The figure also comes with a detachable cowl that can be attached to the body along with the Bruce Wayne head sculpt, allowing the look to be recreated without the mask for an alternative display style.
Armed for war, Batman comes equipped with four Batarangs, a Batarang with rope, and a rifle. The presentation is completed with a specially designed figure stand.
Scarred but unstoppable, this battle-scarred Batman action figure stands as a powerful tribute to one of the most influential interpretations of the Dark Knight!
