Description

This limited 1:6 scale statue depicts Sméagol and Déagol on their fishing trip, just before their lives are changed forever. The scene is designed as a two-level diorama, where the events above and below the surface of the river are told simultaneously. Above the waterline, Sméagol and Déagol are seen in their small boat, while a large fish pulls the line below them. Below the transparent surface, the One Ring lies hidden in the sediment.

The statue depicts Sméagol as he was before the influence of the Ring changed him. It is physically sculpted by Briggite Wuest and includes additional digitally sculpted parts by Bawal Saggi, Kathryn Parr, and Jason Zhang.
